My role at Essential Therapeutic Care enables me to actively contribute to the safety, wellbeing and progression of young people who have experienced trauma in their pasts and mental ill health. For this reason alone, it is more than a job to me. To be able to finish a shift and feel truly as though you have contributed to another person positively is the most I can ask for from a job role. I also love that I work with like minded, incredible people who all offer something different and valuable to the role. Everyday with ETC is different and each provides me with a valuable sense of accomplishment, progression and gratitude. 

As a therapeutic support worker with ETC, no two days are the same. Accompanying young people on their journeys as they navigate their mental health difficulties due to past trauma is a real privilege. Despite the challenges that are present at times this is outweighed by seeing the progress the young people make in a nurturing environment which is rewarding. The ETC team are a pleasure to work with and are so supportive of one another. The leadership are inspiring and always seek to further the teams progress through training and personal development plans.

As a support worker at Essential it is amazing to watch the progress of the young people on a daily basis and to know that I have played a part in their journey. The benefits of the therapy and support we are able to provide them with produces such positive outcomes for the mental health and well being of the young people. I have been able to progress as a professional by taking new training courses provided to me and been able to gain knowledge on everything from mental health to the care industry. ETC is such a warm hearted, caring and loving team who all work to provide the best progression and future for the young people.
